Critical Illness Insurance
Critical illness insurance pays a benefit if you are diagnosed with a critical illness, such as, but not limited to, heart attack, stroke, and cancer. The critical illness benefit is separate from and in addition to your medical coverage.
The plan also includes a wellness benefit that pays you money for receiving covered health screenings and/or mammograms.
Critical illness insurance is provided by:
- Voya—Voya provides basic and voluntary coverage for all employees working 20 or more hours per week.
- UNUM—UNUM provides voluntary coverage for employees who were enrolled as of December 31, 2020 and did not elect to transition voluntary coverage to the Voya plan.
