Lantern Surgical Benefit
Lantern is a supplemental surgical benefit that provides access to a national Centers of Excellence network, connecting you with a curated group of highly rated surgeons and surgery centers. These networks are designed to deliver higher‑quality outcomes, including fewer complications, faster recovery times, and lower readmission rates. When you use Lantern, your surgery and related services are provided exclusively through the Lantern network, and you receive personalized, concierge‑style support throughout the entire process.
Lantern works alongside your Aetna medical plan but is administered separately. You are still responsible for meeting your Aetna medical plan’s annual deductible. Once your deductible has been satisfied, Lantern‑covered surgical care is provided at no additional out‑of‑pocket cost for eligible services.
