Military Leave

Military Leave

Military leave and reinstatement will be granted to employees who are absent from work due to military service or military training. Military leave is generally unpaid, unless it is for active reserve or National Guard two-week annual training. Travel and other military pay supplements are excluded.

You must provide a copy of your military order, training notice, or induction information prior to your leave.

If your leave is less than 31 days, you may continue your health care (medical, dental, and vision) and life insurance coverage if you pay your share of the premium. If your leave is for 31 or more days, you may continue your health coverage for up to 18 months during your leave provided you pay the full cost of that coverage.
