Teladoc connects you to U.S.-based board-certified doctors for immediate face-to-face conversations on your computer or mobile device.
For $56 (or less if you have met your Company medical plan deductible), you can talk by video to a board-certified MD who is able to make diagnoses and send prescriptions to your local pharmacy. Teladoc is significantly less expensive than a typical office visit or $2,430 ER visit, and it counts toward your Company medical plan deductible and out-of-pocket maximum.
The doctors at Teladoc don’t replace your Company medical plan or family doctor. Instead, they are a valuable resource for you when your regular doctor isn’t available or you can’t get to the doctor’s office.
Use Teladoc for non-emergency health issues, such as flu and colds, cough, pink eye, skin rash, infection, children’s health issues, and more.
Teladoc is available 24/7, 365 days, making it easy to consult with a doctor at home, at work, on the road, or on vacation. Mental health therapists are available every day from 7 am to 9 pm for your local area.
Specialties include Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Licensed Social Workers, and PhD Psychologists.
Teladoc is available if you have enrolled in a Company medical plan.

Employees and family members enrolled in a Company medical plan have additional support and resources through "Your Aetna Nurse" when it comes to their health care. Your Aetna Nurse is a program that features a special support team with a “nurse in the family” approach, and various health services and resources at your fingertips when you need them.
Your Aetna Nurse offers support to you or your caregiver if you have a health condition that requires complex care, or if you recently received care at a hospital as described below.
- If you plan to be hospitalized in the near future, a nurse may call you to discuss your upcoming procedure and give you information about what to expect when you go to the hospital. Following your hospitalization, the same nurse will follow up with you to support you during your recovery.
- If you suffered injuries from an accident or were diagnosed with a complex condition such as cancer or chronic kidney disease, a nurse may call you to discuss your needs and provide support to help you receive the care you need.
- If you are managing a chronic condition such as diabetes, asthma, or coronary artery disease, the nurse team may contact you to help identify recommendations that supplement or support your care
- If you are expecting a new baby, a nurse may reach out to you with information on managing your maternity experience.
Each time you or someone in your family needs support, you will have the same nurse—or a “nurse in the family.” If your nurse is not available, other nurses can help you too.
If you think you have a condition that could benefit from Your Aetna Nurse, and you have not received a call from them, you may contact them directly at 800-635-3364. On your first call, you will be asked a few questions to determine if you are eligible.
In addition to experienced nurses, your health plan offers various resources to use whenever you need them. Simply visit the aetna.com to find information and services available to you—at your convenience.
Finally, you may contact the team of experienced nurses any time with questions related to your health care, such as those about your health and prescription benefits, a new diagnosis, finding a primary care physician, or a medical claim.
